Working with partners across Lancashire County Council to facilitate a social movement campaign to drive grassroots change and empower people to demand healthier options. Campaigns in districts aim to offer a voice for communities and to identify solutions to creating a healthier, accessible and affordable food environment. This will feed into the development of a Lancashire County Council food strategy.
One output will be to deliver the #GetsHangry campaign across six districts. The #GetsHangry campaign orginated in Blackburn with Darwen and the concept was developed in Hyndburn and Burnley as part of the Healthier Place, Healthier Future programme. A collaboration between Burnley Youth Theatre, the Civic Arts Centre and Social Sense in Summer 2021 highlighted how creative organisations can work with public health programmes to run consultations with communities. This partnership led to the creation of engaging and unique projects in Burnley and Hyndburn - the #GetsHangry campaigns.
